RE: Ford 2004 F-250 6.0 diesel EGR / Turbo problems

I solved my 6.0 problems by getting an 08 with the 6.4. the 6.0 is notorious for turbo problems and egr problems - its well documented. good luck with your truck, I loved mine, but didn't want to take any more chances after the turbo failed at 54,000 miles.

RE: Ford Brake Controller Question

You'll love the intergrated brake controller - I've had it on both my F-250's and wouldn't consider buying a Ford without it.

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

They say that the only ones that will be left standing will be Coachmen, Fleetwood, and those of “that” caliber. What exactly is "that" caliber supposed to imply? I've worked on Fleetwood's travel trailer assembly line and high quality it isn't. I wouldn't trade my Gearbox for ANY WW. there are guys on here who are afraid to take their WW's out to the dez because they are coming apart at the seams.

RE: WW BK?????

Giant RV seems like they may live and die by what WW does. They, like WW may say anything at this point to get people to buy their stuff. As for a December time for warentee repairs, what is that all about ?? IMHO, the writing is on the wall.

RE: Weekend Warrior Warranty Work Scheduled

The fact they are even bothering to schedule any work speaks volumes what is going on at WW. If you were going to close shop why would you spend time booking warranty work? You wouldn't. Hopefully Mark is getting things put back together. If you had a bunch of inventory you wanted to liquidate before you pulled the plug wouldn't you want people to think it's business as usual? ... just saying That was the first thing that crossed my mind.

RE: Running a second generator?

I am an RVIA certified tech. and the worst thing you can do is not use your generator. Low hours on a gen. is a bad sign. They need to be exercised 2 hours per month at 50% load to get the moisture out of the windings. you brought up a good point - Generators need a decent load on them to be happy. When I use mine, I try to give it a workout, but while your using your 5500 to charge your batteries, your not putting much of a load on it at all - no where near 50%

RE: Running a second generator?

we have the onan 5500 built in, but I usually pack the Honda 2000 watt inverter and use it to keep the batteries topped off. We have an inverter, so everything in the trailer runs off 12 except the microwave and A/C. The Honda will run the microwave and will top off the batteries after a cold night of running the heater. It will run for about 6 hours on 1 gallon of gas, the 5500 sucks much more then that. To buy a second genny for JUST the gas savings probably wouldn't pencil out, but I use the Honda for other things as well.

RE: Fleetwood

Frame/Pinbox is made by Lippert. They make them for many different manufactures. Do you have any pictures ??

RE: Weekend Warrior Warranty is Gone

I agree, now is a great time to buy a new trailer, from a reputable company who takes care of people who buy thier products. You judge for yourself if you want to put WW in that catagory.

RE: Weekend Warrior Warranty is Gone

Buying a new WW right now is not only dangerous, it might be considered reckless. If what the OP is saying is actually true, they aren't trying to save the company, they are circleing the drain.

RE: 4th Annual So Cal Rally at Spangler Hills. Nov 9-13, 2007

Well I know where I will be Nov 7 - 10th 2008.... Maybe I will see you there? If everyone just shows up, does that constitute an organized run? nope, so no permit !!! I'd rather ALL the money go to Corva - and don't have an actual fee involved, just a collection jar.

RE: Help!Newbie buying decision.WW,Fusion,Raptor???

Fusion - yes Dually - yes remember, can do it and should do it are 2 completely different things. we bought a smaller trailer then what I would have liked to get because I didn't want to have to upgrade my TV. I know people who pull 39 footers with F250's and it works, but it wasn't something I was willing to do.

RE: generator? again - small portable generator

Both units are great units and will run your A/C. I have read before where the Kipor units won't start the A/C and a Honda will. My buddy had the 3000 honda and it would take both of us to load it. I have a honda 2000 and its easy to throw it in the back of the truck by myself - so there is a good reason to look at 2 of them with the parallel kit.

RE: Axles overloaded

I just looked at a picture of my friends 07 Wolfpack 295 - his has 6 lugs rims on it. I can't tell the size of the tires or the axel rating from the pic, but it surely has 6 lugs rims, and thats what it came with. Maybe they made a change from 06 to 07 ??
